Damien D. Betner is a Northport High School E-Team Alumni who has completed Psychology courses at Suffolk Community College and Labor Studies courses at Empire State University while working with Local Union # 3 in the I.B.E.W. as an Intermittent Mechanic in the Apprenticeship Program for the Electrical Wiremen division. He has an affinity for the arts and writes poetic pieces of prose with a free-form style that incorporates a little bit of everything he’s learned by sharing with others he's met between events over years. He is the inaugural Troubadour for the Word Festival with Paula Curci and the inaugural concept artist for The Scene, a zine with M.T. Pariti. He has five books in publication currently with a sixth in the works with James P. Wagner available for pre-order at the DogEared Bard Bookstore and a fantasy novella soon to be published! He will perform bits of poetry from his private collection based on personal life lessons and offer some work from his public collections in honor of this featured event.
