Starlight presents national and international touring artists as well as local talent, and hosts a lively open-mic before each show. With no stage and a cozy ambiance, concert attendees can expect an up-close and intimate performance experience. Hot beverages and light refreshments are available. Starlight will begin in September in a new venue.

Northport Art Walk

Pick up a map at the welcome center then enjoy a free walking tour of “galleries for a day” throughout Northport.  Visit artists displaying and selling their work in the charming stores while musicians fill the village with melody.  Plans are in the works for the Art Walk to return in the fall.

Plein Air Painting and Music

A juried event in which plein air artists set up easels around Northport and paint while musicians perform in the Gazebo. “Wet paints” will be framed and hung in a Northport gallery for a silent auction benefitting the Northport Arts Coalition.

The Scudder Park Community 

Mural Project

 

In July 2014 143 children, teens and adults from the community worked together to paint a mural designed by artist Lucienne Pereira, who supervised the project.  It was funded by a grant from Suffolk County with additional donations from the Village of Northport, Riverhead Building Supply and Sherwin Williams.
