NORTHPORT, NY - The Northport Theater for the Performing Arts and the
Northport Arts Coalition present a production of the Northport Opera Company's
Opera Romantica on Saturday, May 6th, 2006 at 7 pm at the Northport Theater is 
located at 250 Main Street, Northport, NY 11768.

ABOUT THE SHOW
In the mood for love, debuting at the romantic setting of the Northport Theater
for the Performing Arts, the Northport Opera Company presents romantic operative scenes
and arias from well-loved Italian operas.

Artistic Director and narrator, Jeremy Black, guides the audience through scenes of desire,
longing, and a bit of true love. Come share in the romantic seduction of Puccini, Verdi, Gluck,
Monteverdi, and Mozart.

Northport Opera Company was created to enhance the cultural landscape and
educational opportunities available to the community. It also provides an environment for
professional singers to hone their craft and expand their repertoire of operatic roles.
Co-founded by Tara Kavanagh and Michelle Whittaker under the auspice of the Northport
Arts Coalition, The Northport Opera Company is a unique company, integrating the use
of movement and narration to heighten the enjoyment and accessibility of opera.
