the TransAtlantic Ensemble for Oct. 21st!!

Adam, clarinet. These three world trotting musicians were able to
briefly
come together to treat us with this special appearance that is not
to be
missed. Included on the program will be Piazzola,
Khachaturan and Milhaud,

Glenn Baldwin and Friends of Jazz will perform the last of the Happenings on Main Street summer series when they play in Northport Park on Friday, Sept. 2 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Guest artists include Northporter Chip Smith on piano and Linda Catania, vocals. Sept 3 finds Glenn on piano and Craig Becker on bass at Huntington's Classy Coffee from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. Also scheduled is a free jazz concert by the
entire band at Sachem Public Library on Sunday, Sept 11, from 2:00 to 3:30.

Cooks!
The Northport Arts
Coalition, with a generous grant from Stop and Shop, is forming a
committee to publish its very
own ARTIST'S COOKBOOK. Members are invited to take part in this fun
project.
The NAC Cookbook is expected to be published in Summer,
2006. For information and to send your ideas, contact Kate Kelly at friekey20@optonline.net
We are looking for a person who would like
to act as
editor/coordinator. This entails receiving and categorizing
recipes as
well as profiling the contributors - i.e. brief statement and photo of
their
art. This can be a very creative endeavor! We look forward
to
hearing your suggestions and an indication of your interest in being
part of
this project!

Legislator Jon Cooper
on Wednesday morning,
August 31st at 9:00 am at the
Northport Theater. Mr. Cooper was given a tour of the
beautiful theater
