To Nac fellow members, artists, and friends: ( A note from Isabella.)

As we go from our summertime Art, Music and Poetry in the Park, into the changing weather, our Northport Village Hall Courtroom (sadly empty for the summer) now beckons. In other words we have three exhibitions planned and will be starting up very soon.

The first is scheduled for the October 29th (hanging), for painters and will be juried (photographers relax --you are getting your own show). Local Color from Local Artists is the title of the first show. Emphasis will be on color or ones interpretation of it-- as in: a colorful person, colorful situations, and or sky, etc...

There will be a small fee to cover printing costs, hanging, and the opening reception. ($15, NAC members, $20 non NAC members) Remember that we have limitations due to having to hang above eye level. Minimal size is 16x20. Please use non glare glass as we cannot rearrange the light.

DANCE

Posey School’s dance classes will not meet October 6 through 10—note that drama, music and art programs will meet according to schedule.  Posey School’s dance teachers--Ms. Posey, Elyssa Vanderpool, and Rene Kurz will be attending the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) meeting at SUNY Buffalo.  The Elsa Posey Student Scholarship Fund, begun by NDEO to recognize her contributions to national dance education, enables graduate students from college dance programs across the U.S.A. to attend conference and receive mentoring from Ms. Posey during the following school year. Most of the college students intend to open dance schools when they receive their degree. As a part of this program, they visit Northport and the nationally famous Posey School. Ms. Posey would like to remind everyone that we have our own Scholarship Program at Posey School to offer financial assistance to younger students who would otherwise be unable to receive the dance education they need to get into college dance programs. Your donations are tax-deductible.
