MARCH 2005
Emily Eisen, a long-time member of NAC is presenting a program on Wednesday,
March 9th at the Northport Library, starting at 7:30. A retired art
teacher, Emily has studied a method of heightening and improving awareness
called Brain Gym and has become a certified teacher of this activity..
Using a series of exercises, she will be demonstrating to the audience how
these movements can affect brain activity. She will explain to the audience
how and why Brain Gym increases creativity. Emily will demonstrate these
activities to those who volunteer to participate. It should prove an
interesting evening and we may discover new paths to creativity. The
program is in keeping with the month of March's celebration of the wonders
of the brain. In fact, this month's National Geographic features an article
about the brain called, "What's in your Mind."
