NAC NEWS February 2005
The
first of the
Doing-Music Chamber Music Series for 2005 began on Friday, January
21 at
NAC
sponsored Poet-in-Port launched its new series on a very cold January 27th
at the Café Portofino.
Standing room only
despite the frigid weather. Coming up on Friday, February
25th,
at
NAC
WEDNESDAY
Wednesday,
February 9th
at
NAC and
the
Organized
by Isabella Eredita
Johnson. Posey
School,
Greek
Goddess Café,
NAC’S
Opera Night at the Café will be held on
Friday, February 4th at the Café Portofino.
The
NAC sponsored Village Hall Art Show titled:
“Theater Vision” will take place March 8th.

HAS JUST LEARNED THAT OUR COLLABORATIONS WITH THE
Northport Chamber of Commerce will once again take place this summer as
we
present our “Happenings on Main Street 2005.” Jack
Rose is our artistic director for
the events. The concerts will be
made possible by partial funding from the
Music
"The
Defibrillators"
will be giving a free concert at the new South Huntington
Library on
Sunday February 6th

Cathy Kreger’s got good news. WHAT IT IZ has
been working on its first CD project.
Throughout these
frigid winter days they have been writing new songs and putting a great
show

very special event to benefit the arts in Huntington and Northport. Bring your date - or your best friend -
to a special screening of "Some Like it Hot". Then
enjoy a champagne cabaret sponsored
by Bottle Bargains in CAC's Sky Room
featuring some
of Broadway's finest talent singing songs of love.
Leah Horowitz (now appearing in La Cage
aux Folles on Broadway), Michelle Mallardi
(Belle in Broadway's Beauty and the Beast) and others will be
accompanied by
Eric Baum as they celebrate the tenderness and the humor of Valentine's
Day.

Observer. The first issue
appeared December 16th and was a smashing success. Our editor Doris
Rowe invites
submissions from the art community. We suggest you buy an issue
to see
the layout. We invite participation from visual artists, poets,
writers,
and artists of all ages. If you are interested in
submitting
