WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING?
NAC PROGRAMS IN APRIL
The LUCKY people who attended our last two
events at the library will, I am sure, agree that our programs continue
in quality and imagination.
Our sixth year anniversary was a delight. On
April 13th, Doris Rowe brought together a wealth
of internet artists (Susan Bello, Patricia
Boes, John Ellsworth, George Hart, Michael Krasowitz, Kathleen Lukachinski, Claudia Markovich, Rosemarie Petruzellis, Junelee Rose, Steven Valentino and Elizabeth Yaari) in
an entertaining array of discussion and slide projection. Musical
performers came together (Dorian Schwartz—oboe, Tara Kavanagh—Soprano, Karin
Marcello—flute and Nina Baumann—Soprano),
as well as a poet (Phil Sparacino) who rounded off the
evening. What pride we have in showing off the talent of our
members.
April 23rd's "Do-ing Music" including
musicians performing Messiean's "Quartet for the End of Time." A
back drop of canvas' featuring the art work of Doris Rowe accompanied
the musicians. What better way to view art and music simultaneously!!
Please don't miss any of the upcoming Do-ing Music concerts!

HELP! WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION!
Nac is faced with a
wonderful problem. Now six years old, and well underway with countless
programs, we are in the need of help! We can really use people to
help out in various areas .....both in decision-making—co-ordinating
the Village Hall Art Shows for a season, planning and activating new
events in the area of your interest, working with the High School
on a permanent basis as a liason for coordinated events, engaging other
members of the community for interactions with NAC, spearheading NAC's
participation in the Northport Theater plans, etc. as well as in
offering willing hands to help with such jobs as passing out
programs, switching on lights, taking photographs, setting up,
breaking downs, etc... Please contact Isabella at vivaldi222@aol.com and
let her know how you'd like to help.
